On this day, in 1936, the last surviving member of the Thylacine species, Benjamin, died alone in his cage at the Hobart Zoo, Tasmania.

Yet another victim of mankind…

Why did I make this a blog entry? I don’t know - these things just matter to me…

    And on the same day in 1906, John Galsworthy published the first volume of The Forsyte Saga (The Man of Property), televised by the BBC in 1967.

    Why did I post this comment? Because the calendar on my desk told me this interesting fact :p

    I have that calendar too…

    Not sure the dates are correct. The year certainly is but the dates are iffy since Tuesday the 13th of September’s entry is an event in 196BC.

    Which is nice. ;)

    Oh, and remember Andy: Freedom is nothing else but a chance to be better…
